Superhead Makes Waves Giving Advice on Momlogic

Karrine Steffans stirs up trouble as guest blogger on Momlogic.com. In her first entry of the year, she addresses the viewers insecurities she thought were expressed in comments on her past blogs regarding sex, relationships and pornography.

In the blog titled Are you an Insecure B*tch? she gives advice that didn’t quite fit well with the audience.

“Remember, the words you speak are a clear reflection of your soul and of your own happiness.

Keep your relationship strong or help save a dwindling romance by being kind and nonjudgmental toward others, yourself and your mate. Take pride in your life and body, establish and accomplish your goals and practice being an all-around better woman this year.

Get right with yourself -- and your man will follow suit.”

One viewer responded, “Karrine is NOT qualified to speak on ANYTHING that has ANYTHING to do with empowering and the betterment of women. We all know how that “career” of hers got started, and the last thing she should be doing is giving ANY advice to any woman with any sense and mind of her own.”

Surprisingly, there were some who were in defense of what Karrine had to say. Another viewer went on to comment, “I dont understand how some women read this and get all heated….the moral to this story is “Confidence is Key” and you’re a dumb broad if you dont believe that this is some serious for real, REAL TALK."

AND Pink agrees.

Regardless of the infamous Superhead’s past, we have to acknowledge truth when truth is spoken. Women tend to let their insecurities get the best of them and hate on the next chick because of completely irrelevant factors that may compete with their self esteem in opposition to acknowledging the greater good that the person is trying to promote.

Who cares if Karrine slept with the who’s who of entertainment? Who cares if she played the “other women” to already married celebrities? She's appearing to be evolving as a woman like we ALL should be striving to do. Give merit to the fact that she is actually saying something positive. This is the best advice to women by far for the beginning of the year.

Kudos to Karrine

Why Write About Nightlife?

When I stepped on the scene, which was approximately a year ago, I was fascinated by the operation of Urban Nightlife. It is an entertaining and lucrative industry powered by money, sex, and alcohol. I am a creative writer and there is so much material for inspiration.

On the other hand, the people on the urban scene do NOT impress me. They are ever changing and the only thing that remains constant is the titles.

A promoter is still a promoter, event planner, and/or sub-promoter at the end of the day, no one special.

A photographer is still a man behind a camera (never trust a man behind a camera they may have you one day looking crazy on the internet lol).

The DJ is still that man who if he replays a song or cuts short a hot track you are going to roll your eyes and get vexed.

The bartender is still that b*tch that ignores you all night while you wait to order your drink then has the nerve to have an attitude when you give exact change.

The bouncer is still that big ass dude behind the velvet rope who may give you or your friend a hard time if you aren't cute enough.

What I do respect is what goes on outside this chaotic scene and the potential for greatness behind my peer’s ambition. The good character and merits other than being the top [fill in the blank]. Lastly, the REALness, there is more behind the flashing lights. There are the untold stories, so many out there and I have one to tell.

The King of Nightlife is Coming

Lost In a Fairy Tale

A Beautiful girl always
She was all alone
A flower that blossomed
Although it took too long

Tribulations of society
Had eaten away at her case
Self-esteem left faltered
By which attention from men replaced

Exuding warmth and brilliance
She cracks a vibrant smile
Attracting a man
That seems willing to go the mile

Charming he is at first
Yet not the one for she
A boulevard marred by passion
Manipulation, distrust and misery

She needs to evaluate
The choices that she makes
Emphasize on quality
Instead of the art of conjugate

The path she follows
Will be the story of her life
A Heart full of anguish
Filled with characters that are trite

Longing for growth
Time soon fades away
He is not the one
She will realize that one day

To restore her passion
In what she fears the most
For the man behind the mask
Is not worth to boast

Commitments that work
When struggles subside
Not a waning moon of desire
Nor hormones that ride the tide

When it all comes down to it
A dim look left upon her face
All her peers tend to judge her
Snickering as she falls from grace

All that is left now
Is an opportunity for change
Like the Lion searching for heart
Or the Scarecrow looking for a brain

Lil Kim Says "Fuck You" and Snubs Upcoming Movie NOTORIOUS

Go Ahead Kim, Tell Us Why You're Mad

According to Hip Hop Weekly and MTV.com, Kim blames Biggie's mom Volletta Wallace and his widow, Faith Evans, on the inaccuracies of her portrayal in the movie.

Lil Kim was also vexed about not being asked to participate in the developing of the upcoming movie, NOTORIOUS, portraying the life of the late and great rapper Christopher Wallace aka The NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

What Evans has to say?

"I don't know what to say," Evans said. "I think that beyond myself, Ms. Wallace or whoever else she wants to blame, everyone who was around Big at that time has had some things to say about [her relationship with Biggie] in order for Cheo to even write the book. He interviewed pretty much all of us. She's sadly mistaken. I'm aware of what she has to say, and that's fine. I don't know what to say. God bless her."

Happy New Year's . . . Resolution?

It’s a New Year

2009 . . . And while most are trying to reinvent themselves and coined catchy phrases like “09 is mine,” we must evaluate . . . . What are YOU doing differently that will secure your chances for having a successful New Year?

I DETEST new year’s resolution. Most break the first few an hour after the ball has dropped in Times Square so why set goal and/or expectations you know will not only be a challenge but something you are not disciplined enough to uphold.

Instead, set realistic goals. Evaluate your standards in life and try to live up to them. Each moment we set out on this earth to create a better day than the one before is more realistic than promising to quit a bad or ugly habit cold turkey. Most don’t know how to stop whatever negativity they put out or say the least accurately identify the quality and/or the cause.

Now I put a lot of thought into this. At first, I tried to devise my own resolution for a better 2009. One of my focuses was to stop partying. 2008 I practically lived in the club with attending the weekly event Dirty Sexy Money at Plumm hosted by former ANTM contestant Nik Pace every Monday (the event had a good run but officially died in July). Nevertheless, if I were to set that as a goal I would be breaking it if I set one foot inside any club whether it is for support of a birthday or good cause ultimately resulting in me being a hypocrite.

I modified my mindset because clubbing isn’t bad at all. It on one hand provides recreation and entertainment and on the other hand it supports people as a form of income. Nothing is wrong when you party for a purpose or an outlet (supporting a celebrity hosted event or event that supports a good cause). I am learning to be more selective at which events (not parties) I choose to attend.

Shoe Fetish . . .

One of the most important accessories to accompany my outfit when I go to the club are my shoes. Not only do they have to be made well so that they don't hurt my feet while I'm dancing the night away, they HAVE to be FLY.

With my 5'5" stature I prefer my heels to be extremely high. One trend that I will always love and adore are the chunky platform heel.

My fab find of the day are Sergio Rossi's Black suede platform shoe with white trim. Made where BEST, in Italy. Retail Price: $650 sold at your local high-end department store.

Remember even if this shoe doesn't fit in your price range, its not the name it is the quality and style that matter. You can always find a similar suitable selection for a few hundred dollars less just be mindful of the quality.

Has This Ever Happen to You? Cell Phone Disasters

A few years back when I got my first cell phone, I woke up to the shock of my life. My $200 brand new phone fell off my bed into my glass of water 3 days shy of my insurance activation. Immediately, I was frantic trying everything in the world, dryers, radiators, etc, to dry my phone out and make it work again but I was unsuccessful. I later found out the original warranty did not cover water damage so I was force to purchase a brand new phone at the inflated regular price.

Instead of pulling out the blow dryer or heater just put your cell in some rice because the heat can cause more damage. Millions of phones succumb each year to water damage causing the lost of thousands of important contacts and other valuable information stored in a phone.

Don't Be a Victim.

Another wise word of advice: Don't talk near water.

Its A 10, A Size 10 That Is

During a press conference in Baghdad, a journalist hurled two shoes at him. Bush's reflexes, surprisingly, were on point whereas he ducked them both. Darn!

No wonder he made a SURPRISE visit, imagine if they knew he was coming . . . .
