Why Write About Nightlife?
When I stepped on the scene, which was approximately a year ago, I was fascinated by the operation of Urban Nightlife. It is an entertaining and lucrative industry powered by money, sex, and alcohol. I am a creative writer and there is so much material for inspiration.
On the other hand, the people on the urban scene do NOT impress me. They are ever changing and the only thing that remains constant is the titles.
A promoter is still a promoter, event planner, and/or sub-promoter at the end of the day, no one special.
A photographer is still a man behind a camera (never trust a man behind a camera they may have you one day looking crazy on the internet lol).
The DJ is still that man who if he replays a song or cuts short a hot track you are going to roll your eyes and get vexed.
The bartender is still that b*tch that ignores you all night while you wait to order your drink then has the nerve to have an attitude when you give exact change.
The bouncer is still that big ass dude behind the velvet rope who may give you or your friend a hard time if you aren't cute enough.
What I do respect is what goes on outside this chaotic scene and the potential for greatness behind my peer’s ambition. The good character and merits other than being the top [fill in the blank]. Lastly, the REALness, there is more behind the flashing lights. There are the untold stories, so many out there and I have one to tell.
Stay Tuned
The King of Nightlife is Coming
