Beauty Must Have . . .

For anyone who want to achieve LUXURIOUS eyelashes without having to apply falsies and glue use this product. The special wand used with this mascara fans your lashes out and extends them, giving the allusion of longer and fuller lashes with no maintenance at all. 95% of the time I use this and my lashes look super long without having to worry about glue from individuals or strips damaging and taking out my existing lashes. To remove mascara just apply makeup remover to a clothe and rub off then wash face as normal.

So I got the pleasure on working on Fashion Obsession presented by The Fabric Twinz as a Makeup Artist or an MUA for short. First off I would like to say that the beauty squad was PHENOMENALLY talented from the MUA's to the hairstylists and they did a great job of transforming the models into the state of FABULOSITY.

Loreal True Match

In my kit when I go out on photoshoots I use Mac Foundation sticks because it is easy to blend and make a custom made shade on whomever I am doing makeup for at the time. Regardless of the color person I am able to match them.

However that is for impromptu service. Many of the models I have worked on I have met for the first time so blending makeup isnt a problem but it can be annoying.

I always recommend that you experiment with foundations to find what fits best for you. Different brands have different formulas some may be good for fair skinned people while others specialize in darker tones.

A foundation I SWEAR by is Loreal Tru Match in W8.

* True Match Makeup precisely matches your skin's texture and tone and coordinates perfectly with True Match Powder, Blush, and Concealer.
* Formulated with Opti-Blend™ Complex so you can control coverage and fine-tune it.
* Micro-fine optical pearls blur imperfections.
* Packed with vitamins B and E and glycerin to nourish skin.
* Ultra-pure formula contains no oils, fragrances, or pore-clogging fillers.
* Available in 24 skin-true shades.
* SPF 17 Sunscreen.
* Made in USA.

Beauty Must Have: Tools

I LIVE by these tools. I like them better than my MAC brushes. Best of it all you can buy the mini set at your local drugstore.

Well I didnt start off using these brushes but I noticed my profession tools like my blusher brush starting to shed especially when I was working on a face. I needed some new tools because its always good to have more than one of the same brush that does the same thing.

I went to Duane Reade and I fell in LOVE.

Eco Tools are super soft to the face made with synthetic bristles that are easy to use when applying makeup. Best of all they are ECO-Friendly made with bamboo and recyclable aluminum which have a low impact on the earth's resources.

Beauty Must Have . . .

St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub with Salicylic Acid

I have used this product for over 8 years. It has stuck with me through the ups and downs of my skin tribulations always getting me through a "bumpy" situation.

My advice to those with problem skin especially with oily acne prone skin is to exfoliate with this product regularly on a minimum one to two times a week basis. Best if you exfoliate right before you put on your makeup so that it could take to your face.

If you use makeup everyday and by makeup I mean a FULL FACE ie. Foundation, Powder, Blush etc. then it is ok to exfoliate more ofter because of the build up the products can cause on your face and in your pores.

Be sure to use the MEDICATED one with salicylic acid because this is a chemical used to help with exfoliation as well as treatment of existing blemishes.

Tyra Says There Will Be a 2nd Chance

According to cw11.com Tyra made a statement in regards to Saturdays casting disaster:

"To all the Top Model hopefuls who were affected by the New York casting, we are doing everything we can to make sure that ALL the girls who weren't seen, get an opportunity to audition – we'll update you on our plans very soon. It is so important to me to redefine beauty, and make sure that everyone gets a fair chance to pursue their dream. I am beyond excited for Cycle 13; for the first time ever, young women 5'7" and under have a shot at becoming America's Next Top Model! I encourage each girl to come out ready to rock the runway and show off their fiercest pose. I'm rooting for all of you!"

This BETTER Be Good . . .

ANTM DISASTER

55th and Seventh ave

I arrived at 8 am excited and not knowing what to expect. Me and my friends got on the line on 55th and Seventh Ave.

As time progress the line began to move around the building. Over 4000 people were out there.

56th and Seventh ave

After 1130 the line began to move in significance we were on 56th and 7th side of the building where we assumed the entrance was but by the time we got to the entrance we were mistake, we had to go around the building for a third time.

By 2pm we realized time was getting close to the end, casting was scheduled to commence at 3pm. Hoping for a time extension we continue to wait on line. We were more than half way around the building so far located on 56th and Broadway. By that time I was hungry and exhausted so I banded my crew together and we moved through the line cutting at least 300 people and found a spot on closer to the entrance on 55th and Broadway. Minutes later the line began to move like raging waves and people were pressed so tightly against one another you could barely breathe.

Half way down 55th St, so close to the entrance people's agitation started to show. Hundreds of people, some who clearly didnt belong on line, were squished together between and wall and street barricades and whenever the line moved people ran in frenzy praying not to fall or get trampled on. Clearly it seemed out of control and an accident waiting to happen.

The cops breaking up the riot 55th st

A girl was on line where she was accompanied by her family, two men and a woman. The family was extremely hood, unkempt and rowdy. They obviously looked like they didnt belong and I was worried because they seemed like trouble. Another woman who was animated and cheerful throughout the entire adventure was annoyed at the fact the family was there as started to cause a commotion. Words were exchanged and threats were made against the woman by the family and the police removed the family from the scene. The woman who then began laughing and started to roll a blunt and smoke on line.

At around 4:50 pm a car started to smoke and make a loud ticking noise. Thinking it was either a fire or bomb, people began to panic while running in all directions pushing and knocking down one another. One of the men from the family ran back in the crowd to attack the women whom he had exchanged words with chasing her starting a riot because someone yelled that the man had a weapon.

In midst of it all people were injured. It was so scary that a girl had a seizure on site from being it all the commotion. More people were injured but not as seriously.

Footage taken by a spectator in The Dream Hotel. At the end of the video you see the man who was wearing white and the girl in red being arrested. They were the family on the line who helped contribute to the chaos.
